Dear Coach Huesman,

I hope your summer has been restful and relaxing. As we all get geared up for the 2018-2019 school year, I wanted to check with you about your 2019/2020 recruits. Coaches are the life of our recruiting efforts and we lean on your advice and recommendations heavily. We are still very much in the midst of our 2019 class, so if you have a guy who is being overlooked or who might be a good fit for Centre, please feel free to let us know. Also, if you have any 2020’s who you want to let us know about early, we are always ready to listen.

We are a high-academic, liberal-arts, Division III school in Danville, KY. The average ACT for our students is 29 so academic excellence is a major part of who we are. Our current sticker price is $50,680, however our average discount rate is 55%. 90% of our students receive some kind of aid.

This past season we experienced a ton of positives on the field. We eliminated two teams in our conference tournament, which is the first time Centre has won a conference tournament game since 2009. We recently added multiple renovations to our facilities including a new three-lane, professional grade bullpen behind our center field fence. We also recently added a new member to our coaching staff who has a serious passion for player development. As our championship culture grows. we feel the future for Centre Baseball is bright!! The next step for us is recruiting the best 2019 class possible; players who are fringe Division 1 talents who excel in the classroom as well.

I have attached a form to send back. If you don’t know all the info but can include an email address and some notes for each player, that will help us get started.

Let us know if you have any guys who would fit the mold for Centre Baseball. As always, feel free to reach out and let me know how I can support you and your program.

Thank you!

Ryan Gaines
