Field Day a Huge Success!
Many thanks go out to Coach Huesman, Coach Bookmyer, and Coach Herold and the numerous dads and players that came out on a brisk morning (ended up being beautiful) to help put the baseball facility to “bed” for the winter! Here’s a list of items that we all did in record time, also check out the photos section to see some great pics of our work:
Wind Screens rolled up and secured. Awesome job!
Batting cage and soft toss nets we taken down and rolled up.
Storage areas on both fields were cleaned out. Mice were relocated!
Press box and locker room were cleaned out.
Leaky roof repaired. Thanks Mr. Hazlett for the caulking and climbing out on the roof!
Bullpens on both fields edged, raked, and weeded.
Coach Herold put the whammy on edging both diamonds!
Hitting facility was blown out with air blower.
Dugouts were blown out by Don DePerro, braved a hurt shoulder too!
Fields were dragged.
Garage was cleaned and reorganized!
Concession stand cleaned out.
Thanks to Tim Colvin and Tom Vinci for helping organize and get the volunteers donuts and waters!
Now, we will not have hitting this week, but look for an email later this week on location and times of indoor hitting. We are currently working with the City and School District thru a tremendous effort by Jon Willette and team to enclose our hitting facility. We are in the midst of drawings and plans and permits. Hopefully we will get that done and wrapped up soon! Stay tuned!
