College Commits!

A hearty congratulations goes out to several of our Celt baseball players!

Trey Mehrer will continue his baseball career at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. He will play for Coach Martin and compete in the tough NCAC Conference for the Tigers. Congrats Trey!

Jake Muhleman will continue his baseball career at Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. He will play for Coach Lewis and compete also in the tough NCAC Conference for the Tigers. Congrats Jake!

Justin Longbrake will continue his baseball career at the Univ. of Dayton in Dayton, OH. He will look to walk on and compete in the Atlantic 10 for the Flyers. Best of Luck JT!

Zach Hazlett will play football for Miami University in Oxford, OH. The Redhawks compete in the MAC Conference. Best of Luck Zach!

We have a more Celts deciding on their college careers, so stay tuned!

Dugout Club Minutes

2015 Dublin Jerome Grad and former Jerome Celtic baseball player Clayton Colvin was recently named one of three recipients of the Stephen D. Gussler Scholarship Award presented by the Columbus Men’s Senior Baseball League.

The Scholarship is presented in the name of Stephen Gussler former Thomas Worthington baseball coach who lost his courageous battle with cancer in 2014.

Colvin won the top scholarship award with the other two awards being presented to Brock DuPont of Hilliard Bradley and C.J. Saunders of Dublin Coffman.

Sakamoto Tranfers to Dayton

After the unfortunate news of the University of Akron canceling their baseball program, former Celt, Masashi Sakamoto (‘13), will be transferring to play baseball at A10 conference member, the University of Dayton Flyers. Sashi will be playing with former Celtic players, Jason Johnson (’13) and Aaron Huesman (’12). Good luck Sash!
